From $20,000 To Over $300,000 A Month

Summary
A leading online company’s revenue had dropped from $200,000 a month to under $20,000 a month. They were bleeding out and didn’t know why.

Our job was to find the hemorrhage point and get some stitches on it ASAP.

This company was the leader in their field and had seen amazing success.

As the market expanded rapidly, more and more competitors emerged and they had to fight tooth and nail to stay on top.

They decided to flip things around and go after the upper-end market. The CEO walked into the office one day and announced, “From now on we are going to be the Apple of online technical training courses.”

And to him that meant raising prices. And they did. Immediately.

Six months later, we were sitting together at their company headquarters, analyzing every aspect of their marketing efforts.

It didn’t take long for us to realize what had happened.

A core element of their marketing strategy was to give discounts, sales and special offers.

When they decided to become an “Apple” style company, they stopped the discounts, sales and special offers. And revenue had almost immediately dropped out the bottom.

To test this theory, we sent split test an email with a very attractive discount offer vs one just like the ones they had been using since their “Apple” decision.

The discount offer brought in more than 5x what the other email did.

Within 12 months as they pursued larger volume at lower price points with discounts and sales, the company came up from their low of $20,000 a month to well over $300,000 a month.

Revenues continued to grow for several years, and the company eventually sold for $62 million.

Increased Company Projections by 20%


The revenue from the product launch exceeded the company expectations by over 20%. They also acquired multiple new retail partners.

Summary
An international software development company was nearing the launch of the next version of their video editing software.

We were brought on to consult on the marketing campaign for the product launch.

The goal was to inform, educate and excite retail distributors about the new launch, driving product sales and revenue.

Our first move was to create a teaser campaign to demonstrate advantages of the update to the retailers. We included some sample end consumer promotional materials in this initial campaign to simplify the retailer’s promotional efforts.

Later on we sent a full marketing kit for the retailer’s use, including brochures, product details and promotional emails. We also sent them the product itself for them to experience.

Finally we provided a closure package. It was sent when the new product version was completely ready for them to begin promotions, along with some additional promotional materials.

The revenue from the product launch exceeded the company expectations by over 20%. They also acquired multiple new retail partners.

$1 Million In Automated Donations


By the time we completed the project, they were on track to hit almost $1 million that year in new donations. Most of which was happening automatically or through major donors.

Summary
An International, Pro-Family organization came to us with a request to help dig them out of the hole.

They had very little money for marketing… But, they did have a list of 120,000 people.

We knew that with that in hand, there was a lot of amazing potential. Here’s what happened…

●  We contacted a CRM provider and got them to donate the set-up fee and then give them the habeas server and top level products for the price of a regular account.

●  We used a series of emails to segment their list.

●  We surveyed the list, and created a new “voice” for the president.

●  An email autoresponder sequence was developed, with multiple gift levels being promoted.

●  20 pages of copy were restructured to match the survey questions and focus on the top concepts the list enjoyed.

●  We sold a back end product immediately for $20. 2350 people bought it – or donated to get it rather – creating $47,000 in revenues.

●  Average donations went up from $22 per person to $34.

●  We got them on a national radio show that brought in another 2100 names.

●  We created a major donor program and added 5 new members at over $100,000 each.

All of this was done using existing or donated time, technologies, materials, and resources.

As a company, we strongly support pro-family organizations and we were proud to provide a significantly reduced consulting fee to further their growth.

By the time we completed the project, they were on track to hit almost $1 million that year in new donations. Most of which was happening automatically or through major donors.

Needless to say, they are no longer in the hole because they needed $220,000 annual to meet budget requirements.

Generating Over $100 Million In Revenue

Summary
A company breaking into the personal development industry came to us with a problem. They had started with an initial surge of growth but had struggled to continue acquiring new customers.

When they came to us they had approximately 400 students enrolled in their high-end program.

Our job was to create explosive, long-lasting growth.

We started a full analysis of all their existing marketing efforts. We dug through customer demographic and psychographic data, sales copy, and funnel design.

We took time to go through the program itself and spend time with the program’s creator and company founder.

The end result for our client was a comprehensive marketing plan, including redesigned website, funnel structure and paid advertising strategy.

This company has since partnered with one of the largest online personal development companies in the world, currently generating over $100 million in revenues.

They now have over 56,000 students and the program has been translated into 7 languages.

29.4% Buy Rate - $24 Million Campaign


They reported the list segments we created for them enjoyed a 70% open rate and a 47% buy rate. Overall the entire campaign had a 29.4% buy rate, resulting in $24 million in revenue.

Summary
A large technology company had a photo editing software product. Sales were down for this product, and it was lagging in the consumer market and virtually dead in the B2B market.

We were hired to figure out how to get this software into more businesses and homes in the US and Canada.

In our research, we realized that the editing tracking technology in our client’s Photo Editing software was totally unrivaled by competitor software.

It was powerful enough to prove in court exactly what changes had been made to a photo. This made photos much more viable for use as court evidence.

Using this software, police investigators and lawyers could legally prove the authenticity of a photograph… making it valid evidence.

Based on this discovery, we created an entire marketing campaign targeting CSI/Forensic units all across the US and Canada.

Within 4 months, our client had snatched over 33% of the market share from leading competitors and brought in a handsome bounty worth over $4 million in new revenues.

Later that same year, we consulted our client through two world-wide product launches. Our involvement included training for their marketing department and strategic planning with executives.

They later reported that some of the list segments we created for them enjoyed a 70% open rate and a 47% buy rate. Overall the entire campaign had a 29.4% buy rate, resulting in $24 million in revenue.

Over 10 Million Americans Served


Our efforts succeeded in uniting the public in supporting this company’s cause, as well as influencing beneficial legislation. This company has grown to provide cable TV and internet services to over 10 million Americans.

Summary
A national cellular service provider company made the decision to move from being “just a telephone company” to providing cable TV, internet, as well as cell phone service… all for a single monthly fee.

This decision dramatically expanded the targetable market for this company, increasing potential growth. It also made it possible for this company to provide incredible consumer rates.

It also presented some serious challenges for the company.

The cable TV market was particularly difficult to break into. Big cable TV companies felt threatened by their interest in entering the market and did everything they could to prevent it.

Their efforts included supporting legislation that would make it more difficult and costly. They even spread rumors of this company discriminating against low-income hispanic and african-american communities.

We were bought on to help them get the market share they were hoping for.

The project included a public opinion campaign with marketing showcasing incredible consumer rates as well as non-discriminatory policies. We interviewed and got stories from hispanic and african american employees of the national cellular service provider company.

This kind of positive competition can only benefit the end consumer, and we wanted to make sure the customers knew that.
